PHILOMEL RESERVE

Engaged by Auckland Council - Healthy Waters, we successfully rehabilitated an existing swale adjacent to a cemetery at Philomel Reserve. This project presented unique challenges due to the proximity of the water channel, which required continuous monitoring by an archaeological specialist.

The solution was a highly technical, designed rehabilitation that demanded absolute precision in earthworks to match the design drawings perfectly. We achieved a full naturalisation of the swale, significantly improving its ecological resilience, and ensuring the complete reuse of excavated spoil on-site, minimising waste and logistical costs.
